Innovative spirit-maker, Meloz, has chosen Pop-Dot as its brand and marketing Agency of Record, following an inquiry process which included several Wisconsin-based firms. Meloz is the creator of Domel, a unique spirit distilled from 100% pure honey, which is produced in batches at Yahara Bay Distillers in Madison.

“The quality of Meloz honey spirit is matched only by the quality of the brand’s mission,” said Jason Fish, president of Pop-Dot. “Meloz has a total commitment to supporting bee populations in Wisconsin, and around the world. So, this is a brand, a product, and a cause that everyone at the agency stands behind.”

Meloz is intimately connected with the fair trade honey cooperative, Flor Nativa. Located in the Chapada Diamantine, Bahia, Brazil, the co-op gathers honey from the hives of local beekeepers in the region. The brand has also established alliances with beekeepers in North America, raising awareness of best practices which support the life of bees.

“Work has already begun on distribution, brand and marketing strategies,” said Kate Ewings, a partner at Pop-Dot and the agency’s Director of Brand Development. “New labels for bottles are also in the works, which will align strategies with packaging.”

Creative assignments for Meloz, including any brand identity and packaging redesigns, will be guided by Pop-Dot’s Creative Director, Ray Andrew. With thousands of logos and packaging designs to his credit—including hundreds for national CPG clients—Mr. Andrew is uniquely positioned to handle the Meloz work.

Meloz joins a roster of clients at Pop-Dot which includes: Johnsonville, Glue Dots International, Colony Brands, Grande Cheese Company, Spectra, and others.
