Renaissance Learning Taps Pop-Dot for Brand Strategy
Renaissance Learning, the world leader in cloud-based assessment, teaching, and learning solutions, has selected Wisconsin-based agency Pop-Dot for marketing and brand strategy support. The “EdTech” company currently boasts customers in over one-third of U.S. schools, and a worldwide customer base which spans over 60 countries.
“This is the kind of company I deeply admire,” said Jason Fish, President at Pop-Dot. “Renaissance Learning was founded by innovators who went to work in the basement of their own home to create an educational software product that enriches the lives of others. Today, the company is a global phenomenon, and the world is a better place because Renaissance Learning is succeeding in their mission.”
Judi and Terry Paul founded the company in 1984 and began development of their first product, Accelerated Reader, hoping to encourage children to read more and better books. Accelerated Reader is now the world’s most widely used K12 reading software. With the software’s overwhelming success, Accelerated Reader was followed by Accelerated Math and STAR assessments.
Ever innovating, Renaissance Learning was among the first to introduce the SaaS model to K12, as well as an integrated Web-based platform named Renaissance Place.
In 2014, the 950-person company was acquired by Hellman and Friedman. However, the mission of “accelerating learning for all” continues to be what drives the organization forward.
Pop-Dot, a Brand Strategy & Innovation Agency, declined to comment on the specifics of their engagement with Renaissance Learning.
